What is the T4YP project?

Timebanking Wales works with the voluntary sector in Wales to reinvent mutualism using time as a currency. Timebanking is a social instrument designed to develop a more active conversation between the ‘community organisation’ and the ‘people in their communities’. The aim is to enable people to become active citizens of change.

Time for Young People (T4YP) is a two year lottery funded project, based with Timebanking Wales in Tredegar that aims to embed time banking as a sustainable model of engagement for increasing active citizenship for groups working with young people aged 7 -25. Over the two year funding period T4YP will be rolled out across the six local authority areas of Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent & Torfaen.
